The Most Musical Time of the Year

Whether singing carols with a choir or accompanying your friends and family at holiday parties and places of worship, musicians are integral to the beauty and joy of the holiday season.

I'll always remember the first year I was allowed to accompany my family and friends at our annual Christmas Eve gathering. I was ten years old and had prepared for months with my piano teacher. Supporting the voices of those I love behind me was exhilarating.
 
Since then, I’ve played piano for that same Christmas Eve party every year for 28 years! Some group members have passed away, and new friends and partners have joined us. One constant, however, is the music. It’s on evenings like those that I feel extreme gratitude for being able to share my musical gifts with the community.
